Concentraciones sericas de oxido nítrico (nitritos/nitratos) en pacientes con infección por el virus de la hepatitis B y C

Resumen


El objetivo fue evaluar el comportamiento del Oxido Nítrico en pacientes infectados con el Virus de la Hepatitis B y C en nuestro medio y la relación entre el Oxido Nítrico y las transaminasas. Se realizó un estudio prospectivo con 60 pacientes adultos, del Hospital Militar " DR. Carlos Arvelo". Se demostró que los pacientes infectados por el virus de la Hepatitis B presentaban niveles de Oxido Nítrico significativamente más altos que el grupo control de individuos sanos, utilizando la técnica Análisis de la Varianza, según la cual se obtuvo un valor de p de 0.0001. Mediante la Técnica de Regresión Lineal simple se encontró una alta correlación entre los niveles de transaminasa y Oxido Nítrico en los pacientes con infección por el virus de la Hepatitis B. En los pacientes con infección por el Virus de la Hepatitis C no se observó aumento de las concentraciones de Oxido Nítrico.
